“Fun and introspective psych-pop-rock tracks that recall ’90s Britpop and place Graham on the same plane as modern heavyweights like Portugal. The Man. and Spoon.” -Jack Anderson, KUTX 98.9 Austin

Timothy Robert Graham is a songwriter, producer, and performer residing in Seattle, Washington. Touring in recent years has brought Timothy to Austin, Los Angeles, Portland, and Seattle. Radio features, year end best-of-lists, and a growing number of co-writes and collaborators continue to share Timothy’s songs with a wider audience.

I wanted to write songs that captured the moment we’re in, what’s hopefully coming next, and also leave room for someone listening in ten years' time. Keep On Keeping on is about the civil rights movement and momentum of 2020 that continues on into this year. I was really moved by examples of Black Excellence as a way of balancing out all the hard but necessary images of suffering at the hands of police violence. I hope this song can encourage anyone fighting to keep their head up.

New Ep, Could Be Better, by Timothy Robert Graham

Could Be Better is about my partner and I. I’ve been married to my wife, Kelli Jo for sixteen years. We got married four days out of highschool and have somehow stayed best friends. I often think about how amazing it is that she’s stuck with me all these years. I wanted to remind myself that nothing is guaranteed. It’s a daily commitment to stay in a relationship and to stay engaged with one another. “Cheers to the years we have spent together. Cheers to the years we have left together.” Here’s hoping we die old and still best friends.

Taillights is a song I wrote with my friend William Cremin, of Seattle bands The Environment, and Cumulus. I wanted to capture the feeling of reconnecting with friends who I’ve lost touch with over the pandemic. I hope when all this is over we can see each other at a show and feel that human connection again. I’ve been making a point of FaceTiming my friends just to remind them that I’m still here and I care about them. In particular this track is dedicated to my friend Lexi Vega, of LA band Mini Trees. She has an amazing friend group that kindly welcomed me in on my pre quarantine visits to play music and see family. I really appreciate when you get to see the care between people who have known each other through different seasons of life. I hope to write more songs about the power of platonic relationships. Romance is fun, but there can be a lot of intimacy between friends too.

“The second solo album from this Seattle-based artist (and former Motopony member) is a well-crafted set of brightly colored power pop, New Wave, and psych-pop.”
